About the competition

Daidoh Company Ltd was founded in 1879. This corporate giant has operations in the "manufacturing and sales of woolen fabrics and clothing to businesses, as well as retail sales to consumers, while engaged in the pursuit of superior quality in all processes, based on the concept of 'DAIDOH QUALITY'".

In their pursuit to invest in superior quality Mohair, the Daidoh Company has, in collaboration with Mohair South Africa, initiated the Daidoh Trophy competition in 1992. The aim of this competition is to encourage farmers to improve the quality of the South African Mohair clip.

The winners of the Daidoh Trophy 2015 Competition will be announced at a Prize Giving Ceremony in Port Elizabeth on 23 July 2015.

The top 10 producers who achieves the highest average price for a summer kid mohair clip, receives a cash prize from the Daidoh Company.
